TKOC was incorporated in 2004 under the laws of the State of Kuwait to implement the Olefins II Project. TKOC’s production facilities shall comprise an ethane cracker with a capacity of 850,000 tons per annum and an ethylene glycol plant with a capacity of 600,000 tonnes per annum.
TKOC’s plants will be located adjacent to the existing EQUATE complex.

TKOC is expected to commence operations in late 2008. The ethylene produced by the new ethane cracker will be used by:

1. TKOC for ethylene glycol production
2. TKSC for styrene production
3. EQUATE for additional polyethylene production

EQUATE will operate TKOC’s facilities and provide various services including the provision of utilities.
