The Kuwait Olefins Company (TKOC)
TKOC is a Kuwaiti Shareholding Company incorporated in the state of Kuwait on 10 Oct 2004. TKOC engaged in manufacture and sale of Ethylene Glycol (EG).The plant complex was officially inaugurated by H.H. Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Amir of State of Kuwait.

TKOC Facilities:- TKOC owns two plants, Ethylene-II (EU2) and Ethylene Glycol-II (EG2) which were operated during August 2008 for EG2 and November 2008 for EU2. TKOC`s plants among other units were constructed through one of the successful worldwide Mega project that is the Olefins II project*. The plants Located at Shuaiba industrial area, adjacent to the existing EQUATE complex. EQUATE currently operate TKOC’s plants

- Ethylene used in producing Ethylene Glycol from EG2
(TKOC), Polyethylene (Equate) and Styrene (TKSC).
- Ethylene Glycol used in a variety of products
including fibers, films and bottles. It is also widely
used in the manufacture of automotive antifreeze The progress of the project at its initial stages, and accomplishment of the project and start of commissioning activities is expected in April 2008.
* Olefins II Project was a grass root mega project, Olefin-II project recognized as one of the best mega project in term of schedule, cost and SHE. Project main output unites are:-
- EU2, EG2 plants (TKOC)
- EBSM plants (TKOC)
- Sea Water Cooling Tower (PAI)
- PE expansion (Equate)
- Utilities and Infrastructure (Equate).
- C3 Splitter and Polypropylene storage Tank (PIC)
