Equipolymers: a 50:50 joint venture between DOW and PIC for the production and marketing of polyethylene terephthalate (“PET”) resins and the production of purified teraphthalic acid (“PTA”).

Equipolymers company manufactures purified teraphthalic Acid (PTA) at a production capacity of 170,000 T/year. Equipolymers company owns three PET(particularly high-quality plastic)  plants in Italy and two plants in Germany at a total production capacity of 450,000 T/year.

PTA is a chemical intermediate to produce PET. PET is a particularly high quality plastic for use in the packaging industry and in particular for the production of beverage, food and other liquid containers. Equipolymers serves customers globally and is headquartered in Zurich.

Its production facilities include PET and PTA plants in Ottana (Italy), and two PET plants in Schkopau (Germany)
