Our SHE philosophy states, “All incidents are preventable“. The first step toward achieving this goal is to have a system in place to ensure that all incidents are reported and investigated.
Safety Audit
Auditing, is a methodical examination that involves analyses, tests, and confirmations of facility's procedures and practices to verify whether they comply with standards and internal policies, and evaluate whether they confirm with good safety, health and environment practices.
Objectives
The continuous improvement of SHE systems and performance by:-
- Evaluating the strength and weaknesses of the internal control
systems.
- Promote awareness of safety, health and environmental protection.
- Assess performance in avoiding ill-health, injury and environmental
pollution arising from the company's activities.
- Discussing the issues with managements, presenting the exceptions
found, and making judgments on their importance.
- Advising managements on improvements needed in the safety, health,
and environment management systems.
- Creating a corrective action plan to address deficiencies/discoveries
Responsibilities
1. Manages the HSE Auditing System including: -
a. Distributing the auditing monthly schedule.
b. Reporting on auditor's performance.
c. Analyzing auditing reports.
2. Implementing the new incident reporting & investigating system.
3. Promote systems.
4. Monitor and measure effectiveness of systems.
The Committee Achievements
- Established the safety auditing system
- Established the incident investigation & reporting system
- Conduct awareness programs for the systems established.
- Certified 180 PIC employees on safety audit.
- Certified 70 PIC engineers/supervisors on incident investigation & reporting system incorporation with Dupont.
- Closing all the safety audit maintenance work orders
- Implementing the incidents recommendations
