| A - Fertilizer Plants :
During the fiscal year 1999/2000 Ammonia production was about
518,000 MT that is an increase of 7.25% over the production in the fiscal year
1998/99 . Urea production was about 777,000 MT, an increase of 13.7% over the
production in the previous fiscal year.
During June 2000, Fertilizers Plants started their periodical
maintenance of Ammonia Lines II and III in order to complete certain major
projects such as development of water treatment unit in Urea Plant, and
replacing high pressure steam lines for synthesis gas compressor in Ammonia Line
II.

B - Polypropylene Plant :
The polypropylene
plant produced about 103,769 MT during 1999/2000 fiscal year which is 104% of
the plant design capacity. This is due to an improvement in gas supplies from
Kuwait National Petroleum Company and Equate Petrochemicals Company. It is worth
noting that the percentage of off-spec product was 1.77%, against a targeted
percentage of 4%. This means that the virgin product facilitated marketing
process and satisfied the company's customers almost by 100% . |
